2 weeks is way too long for any type of infection, even yeast! if you've already tried over the counter then its time to call the doctor and a., make sure its still yeast and not bacterial vaginitis (BV) which has some of the same symptoms as yeast and b., go ahead and get Diflucan (a little pink pill you take my mouth with or without food). If you get the Diflucan you shld feel refief within the day (although if you have a raging yeast infection, you may have to ake another tablet in a couple days, so a total of 2 but spread out). Cut back on your sugar intake and do eat yougurt (with live cultures) and lots of water so you're vajay-jays can come back into balance naturally! (But seriously after 2 weeks get to the Dr Asap for some relief!)

Vaginitis (inflammation of the mucous membranes lining the vagina) can be caused by a fungal infection (yeast) but may also be a bacterial infection, in which case Monistat will be ineffective.
Some of the causes of vaginitis (in addition to fungal or bacterial infection) may be vitamin B deficiency, irritation from excessive douching or the use of products such as deodorant sprays. Poor hygiene and tight, nonporous clothing can contribute to the problem.
All that said, you may want to have a doctor take a look to assess for bacterial causes and treat with antibiotics. Or you can try some home remedies such as aloe vera. Aloe is very soothing and healing to the mucous membranes. It can be applied topically to relieve itching, and/or it can be used as a douche to cleanse the vagina and to promote healing.
Anytime you are dealing with a fungal infection it's a good idea to make some adjustments to the diet so you don't inadvertently feed the fungus. That means eliminating fruits, sugar, and yeast products. Avoid aged cheeses, alcohol, chocolate, dried fruits, fermented foods, all grains containing gluten (wheat, oats, rye, and barley), ham, honey, nut butters, pickles, mushrooms, soy sauce, and vinegar...until you are healed.
Keep clean and dry. Wear cotton underwear, which absorbs moisture and allows air to circulate. Avoid tight clothing and synthetic fabrics. Do not spend prolonged periods of time in a wet bathing suit.
In addition to using aloe as a douche, you can do a mild apple cider vinegar and water douche as well. [Best to use an organic apple cider vinegar (ACV).] Use 2 tablespoons ACV in one quart warm water. You can treat up to twice daily. ACV restores the pH to the vagina, helps to kill off harmful microbes (fungal and bacterial) and sooths and heals the membrane in the vagina.

Tea Tree Oil
The essential oil tea tree oil, diluted and applied topically to the vaginal area, has shown some potential as a natural home remedy for yeast infection. A compound called terpinen-4-ol in tea tree oil appears to be responsible.

Unfortunately, there haven't been any clinical studies in humans showing that tea tree oil is effective or safe for yeast infection. Until we have more evidence, it should not be recommended. Tea tree oil must be diluted before applying it to the body. Full strength tea tree oil should never be applied to the vaginal area.

You may think you have a yeast infection, but only a doctor can tell you for sure. Symptoms of a yeast infection are also symptoms of other things, such as STD's and other things. Treating yourself for a yeast infection when you actually have another type of infection could make the problem much worse. My gyno wishes they would take self treatments off the market, due to the numerous cases a patient actually had a sexually transmitted disease. And another thing, yeast infections frequently accompany STD's, so you should NEVER treat a yeast infection yourself. You tried and it failed, now get yourself to a doctor.

Itching is horrible... yuck! Tea Tree oil is the most powerful anti-fungal remedy that I can think of that could be applied directly to the skin.

However... don't use it straight, it will burn. Take some oil such as olive oil, or any kind of cooking oil, almond oil, etc. and put about 1 drop of Tea Tree oil to a table spoon of cooking or other oil.

Apply it to the infected area and see how that does. Try to make the solution as strong as you can handle.

I have never understood why people eat yogurt thinking the small amount of live cultures that's in there, if any at all after being processed, would help with yeast.

Go to a health food store and purchase a bottle of probiotics. Other wise known as acidophilus. That is the real stuff. Take as directed.

Eat lots of yogurt. It puts back the good bacteria that your body has to have to fight off the bad bacteria. Also, use the cream for external itching while you take the one, three or seven day treatment.
